At 1080 p, the image quality produced is sharp. The color’s realistic and the highlights pop with no loss in detail. There are several different modes that can be used for making the output look the best for its intended use. The dynamic setting produces the highest lumen and looks best in room that’s bright, for example. The living room setting will give more accurate color and works best for film and video. There are some minor differences noted between the cinema and the natural settings but both offer great black levels and color balance.
Other adjustments can be made within the preset settings so that the picture is just the way you’re wanting it. The lamp power is adjustable, for example, so that it works best within the room’s lighting. By decreasing the light output, lamp life can also be lengthened.
Of course, no projector is going to be perfect. All have some limitations and the 8350 is no exception. You will need to consider how you want to use it in terms of zoom and light output so that you get the best picture. This could alter how you want to mount it. Also to be considered with regard to placement is the heat dissipation. There will need to be adequate clearance around it to be sure that there is sufficient ventilation.
When all is taken into account, the negatives aren’t that great. However, they do need to be considered before mounting and finding out the limitations at that time.
