‘Buried’ Film Delivered Edge Of Your Seat Drama With Ryan Reynolds

The studios released the Ryan Reynolds branded, thriller flick named “Buried” into movie theaters a few months ago. I finally checked it out last night, and totally agree with the top movie critics’ positive assessment of the film.

In my opinion the film featured a very unique storyline with tons of drama. However, I think I caught a case of claustrophobia by watching it and imagining if I was buried alive in a coffin. It stars: Ryan Reynolds and Jose Maria Yazpik.

“Buried” centered around character Paul (Ryan Reynolds). He’s a truck driver over in Iraq, and wakes up to find himself buried alive in a coffin, tied up with only a cigarette lighter, cell phone,a couple of glow lights, knife, and a flash light. He eventually finds out about all these tools at different times during the movie.

He starts panicking. As the film continues, he’s able to untie himself, get the lighter, and calls every damn body he knows. After getting a couple of answering machines and leaving a few messages, he’s eventually connected with a hostage specialist in Iraq who is working frantically to try and find him.

At various points in the film, Paul receives a call from his kidnappers, demanding $5 million dollars from the embassy for his release. Unfortunately,a couple of bombing events make it more difficult for the hostage specialist to find him,and the movie ends with a shocking revelation.

In my opinion the flick was great. Even though it was about a full hour and 20 minutes of just a man trapped in a coffin,it managed to show some exciting scenes. There were a few events that caused other things to enter the coffin with him that weren’t good, and it was interesting to see what he did to get out of those predicaments with his very few resources.

The Buried movie damn near gave me claustrophobia just watching it because these movies are really good at bringing a person’s mind into the world of it,and it was very hard to imagine being trapped in a coffin like that. It had me wondering what the hell I would do if that ever happened to me. It was quite interesting and unique. I gave it a grade A for the authenticity alone.

‘Season Of The Witch’ Movie Brought Great Action With A Good Story

The studio released a new action movie called “Season Of The Witch” into theaters, starring Nicolas Cage. I watched it,and thought it was very good. It featured a ton of action, special effects, and more. Other actors who starred in the movie were: Ron Perlman, Stephen Campbell Moore, Robert Sheehan, Claire Foy, Ulrich Thomsen, Stephen Graham, and Christopher Lee.

The film centered around characters Behmen (Nicolas Cage) and his buddy Felson (Ron Perlman) as they ventured out on a mission to break a plague that was thought to be brought on by an dangerous witch. At first, Behmen would help the church kill off tons of innocent women, men, and children that supposedly sinned against God.

Later on, he decides to stop the killing, thinking it’s the wrong thing to do. However, he helps the church out one last time after he and Felson get thrown in prison, and get the chance to spend time with a girl they think is a witch. Behmen helps out the Church on the condition they give the girl a fair trial.

When they took their journey to a remote monastery, two of the six men got killed in unusual ways. This led Behmen to believe that the girl may be a witch. Her attitude also became more disturbing as they got closer to the monastery where her trial and extinction was to take place.

Finally, they reached monastery, and were met with a huge, supernatural, evil package that involved the innocent looking girl, and it led to an extreme,action-filled conclusion that caused almost everyone to meet their deaths. It really got crazy towards the end.

The flick delivered lots of special effects, including the girl having amazing strength, the girl summoning wolves to attack all the men, and an ugly demon bursting out of the girl towards the end. I really liked the movie. It was really extreme, and never had a boring moment.

It was very interesting to see the innocent looking girl’s attitude change throughout the film. I could just tell something was up with her,and a cool ending twist revealed that all the events were mapped out by her to lead to the final conclusion.
